We respect privacy and are committed to fully implementing and complying with the Data Protection Principles and all relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (“PDPO”), and for the purpose of this Statement, (i) “ZONE”, “we”, “us” or “our” means ZONE Limited and its subsidiaries, affiliates and associated companies, holding companies and subsidiaries, affiliates and associated companies of its such holding companies, and (ii) “personal data” has its meaning ascribed to it under PDPO.

 

If you are visiting or browsing our website(s), you need not provide ZONE with any personal data but we may use cookies to store and track information about you and your preferences.  If you would like to seek a follow-up action on ZONE’s part, including making enquiries to us, requesting us for catalogues, other materials or information, or downloading or installing any software or applications from the website(s) or other location(s) to which the website(s) is/are linked, signing up our newsletter, promotions or other offers, events or surveys, you will be requested to provide your contact information such as your name, age, passport or identification numbers, telephone number(s) and physical and email address(es), your business information such as company name and your title.  If you are signing up or applying for any of our products or services, we may seek further personal data from you such as credit card information or bank account details. • other companies within the ZONE group of companies for any of the purposes set out above;

• agents, contractors, consultants, professional advisors or third party service providers who provide  administrative, telecommunications, information technology, payment or other services to ZONE for any of the purposes set out above in Section 3 above;  

• banks, financial institutions, credit / charge card issuing companies, debt collection agencies related to your payment or account; 

• persons and entities to whom ZONE is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirement of any law or regulation binding on or applicable to ZONE;

• other persons under a duty of confidentiality to ZONE which have undertaken to keep such information confidential; and 

• (with your consent - see below) our business partners in direct marketing and other promotional                         activities

Any enquiries, comments, suggestions, information or other communications made or provided by or from you to us are considered to be voluntarily made or provided on a non-confidential, non-private and non-proprietary basis, unless you expressly indicate the same in writing to be confidential. ZONE may from time to time transfer your personal data outside Hong Kong for different purposes including processing or storage provided that all such actions will be conducted in compliance with the relevant provisions of PDPO.

• use any of personal data it holds about you for direct marketing of our products and services including but not limited to our latest offers, gifts, discounts, benefits and other information relating thereto; and
   

• share any of personal data it holds about you with our business partners for cross-marketing or their own direct marketing purposes in relation to promoting, marketing or selling of insurance, financial, investment, banking, health and wellness, travel, technology, communications, entertainment, food & beverage, leisure or recreational, travel, home improvement, other consumer products or services, education-related products or services, or other non-profitable services including solicitation of donations by charitable organisations. ZONE may receive gain for sharing your personal data with our business partners as described above.

ZONE may not so use your personal data unless you have given your consent, which may be communicated to us at the time you provide such data to us or in writing to us.  If you intend not to give your consent to ZONE using and sharing your personal data for any or all of those purposes, you may tick the relevant “opt-out” box on ZONE’s website. You may also subsequently withdraw your consent by writing to ZONE’s Data Protection Officer at the above e-mail address. If you exercise your right to opt out of the use/share of your personal data for one or both of the above purposes, it will mean that ZONE and/or our business partners will not be able to send you any direct marketing, targeted or special offers, discounts, benefits, or other promotions in the future.
